Good news! Your pension will be higher in 2025

11 December 2024

Every year, the pension fund board tries to increase your pension. This way, your pension keeps pace with the rise in prices, so the pension retains its value.

The board made the decision in December 2024 to increase your pension on January 1, 2025. For the increase, one of the things we look at is the increase in prices from October 2023 to October 2024 according to CBS' derived consumer price index. The increase in prices during this period was 2.58%.

Based on the indexation rules laid down in the pension regulations, this means that we can increase all pensions by 2.34% on January 1, 2025. This is a partial increase.

If you log in, you will see at the end of January what the increase means for your pension.

The starting points for indexation

Whether we can increase pensions in a year depends on a number of things:

  • the level of the policy funding ratio of the fund
  • the indexation rules as laid down in the pension regulations
  • the increase in prices in a set period for determining the level of indexation.

Together, these three key assumptions form the basis for deciding whether or not pensions can be increased.
