t's a subject we'd rather not think about: orphan's pension. Nevertheless, it is good to know what arrangements are made for your children in the event of your death.
If you pass away, your children will receive an orphan's pension. Even if you are no longer employed by IFF at the time of your death. Children born after you leave employment are not entitled to an orphan's pension.
If you have children, they are insured for the orphan's pension by default. You do not have to do or pay anything else for this. The level of the orphan's pension is 14% of the retirement pension you would have accrued up to the retirement date. Each child receives this until he or she is 18 years old. As long as your child is at school or studying, your child will receive orphan's pension, at the latest until he or she is 27 years old.
