Pension agreement: state pension age will rise less rapidly in the coming years

The state retirement age is rising less rapidly than planned according to the agreements in the recently reached pension agreement.

In the current situation, the state pension age will increase in steps to 67 years in 2021. From 2022 the state pension age would be linked to life expectancy.

New agreements have been made about the state pension age in the pension agreement

From 1 January 2020, the state pension age will gradually increase to 67 in 2024. From 2025, the state pension age will be linked to life expectancy in the Netherlands. The exact state pension age is known 5 years in advance. Check every year in January whether the state pension age has changed on svb.nl.
